How this website works for everyone
Think Social Cohesion is committed to a website that people can use whatever device, assistive technology or language they use. This statement says what standard we work to, what has been tested, what we know is not yet right, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
The standard
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard required of Australian Government websites. Every page is a plain web page: no app to install, no sign-in, and nothing that needs a particular browser.
What has been tested
Testing was carried out on 12 October 2026 across every page of the site, at desktop and phone widths, before the consultation opened.
- Automated checks against WCAG 2.1 A and AA using axe-core 4.10, with no violations remaining on any page.
- Keyboard only: every link, button, menu, form field and the photo viewer can be reached and operated with the keyboard, in a sensible order, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
- Text and layout reflow at 200 per cent zoom and on a 390 pixel wide phone without horizontal scrolling.
- Colour contrast of text against the brand colours, at a minimum of 4.5 to 1 for body text.
- Structure for screen readers: landmarks, one heading per page in order, labels on every form field, error messages announced as they appear, decorative images and symbols hidden, and the language of every page and passage declared, including right-to-left pages.
- Reduced motion: animation is switched off for people whose device asks for it.
- The site in light and dark mode.
What we know is not yet right
- The site has not yet been tested by people who use a screen reader day to day. We will arrange that before the consultation closes and update this statement with what they found.
- The Roadmap, the Summit Report and the one-page summary are also available as PDF documents, which are not yet tagged for screen readers. The full text of the Roadmap is published as a web page in English and in every other language on the site. Ask us for the Report in another format if you need it.
- Session recordings will carry captions when they are published.
- An Easy Read version of the Roadmap is being prepared with the convening partners.
- The translations are working drafts for review and have not yet been certified. The English text is the authoritative version.
Other ways to take part
You do not have to use the online survey. You can respond by email in any language to hello@justgold.net, and if another format would suit you or your community better, email the same address and we will arrange it.
Tell us
If anything on this site does not work for you, email hello@justgold.net and tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or software you were using. We will fix what we can and tell you what we did.
